A fine typed letter (Old Bond Street House, 6-8 Old Bond Street, London, W1, 17th May 1933) from Sir Malcolm Campbell responding to the request for an autograph. The letter itself (8″x5″) has been signed by Campbell in ink and the small attached photo (2″x2.75″) has also been signed with a full signature. Sir Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948) set the first auto land speed record of 146.16 mph in 1924, breaking his record eight times to 301.13 mph in 1935. He set water speed records three times, the last, 141.74 mph in 1939, a record he still held at his death. All his records were set in autos and hydroplanes named Bluebird. The letter and photo are both in excellent condition with one light fold to the letter, a superb opportunity to obtain two related signatures from one of the most historic names in land speed record history.
