1959 Monaco GP programme – Jack Brabham’s first GP victory

A rare original race programme from the 1959 Monaco Grand Prix held on the 10th May. The program is in excellent condition with no rips with some minor wear to front cover. The 100 lap race was won by Jack Brabham driving a Cooper T51, his first career Grand Prix victory for the future three-time world champion. It was the first World Championship Grand Prix victory by an Australian driver and also the first win for the factory Cooper team. Brabham finished 20 seconds ahead of British driver Tony Brooks driving a Ferrari 246. A lap down in third was the Cooper T51 of 1958 Monaco Grand Prix winner Maurice Trintignant of the Rob Walker Racing Team. Reference: PROG-MON59BRB-01
