This is a highly detailed scale model of the Mercedes PU106B Hybrid engine to celebrate the teams constructors and drivers championship in the 2015 F1 season. The model is housed in a perspex dome (measuring 9″ in diameter) and surrounding it are details of all the Mercedes team points, pole positions, race wins, podiums etc. that were acquired during the 2015 championship year. Only 608 editions of this model were produced and were given to Mercedes employees only.The name of the Mercedes employee and unique numbered edition is engraved on a plaque mounted on the base of the model. The model comes supplied in it’s original individually numbered presentation box which has some shelfwear but still is in very good condition.

It was at this particular Grand Prix in Valencia which marked the 500th Grand Prix the Lotus team had competed in. Lotus Racing celebrated this historic milestone by paying tribute to Colin Chapman who created single-seat racing in 1956 when he launched the Type 12 and this car appeared alongside the 2010 challenger, the T127 in the Valencia pitlane on Thursday evening. The photo shows the Lotus team with the two cars on this historic occasion. This particular edition is a special unique presentation volume numbered 1/1 and was presented by the 2001 Mclaren Mercedes Formula 1 team to the then chairman of Daimler-Benz Juergen Erich Schrempp. The book has a specially designed front cover cover with slipcase and extra introductory pages signed by 2001 Mclaren Mercedes drivers Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard. The book has 176 high quality pages with German text and is in perfect condition and housed in a matching slipcase which does have a slight water stain to the bottom corner (shown in photos). A really superb collectors book.
