James Hunt ‘world champions in art’ print – special edition

Mark Dickens project, ‘World Champions In Art’ in collaboration with Keith Sutton drew upon the extensive photographic library of Sutton Images to create 32 brand new paintings, each one celebrating one of the World Champions in Formula One history, and each produced in his trademark style. The original paintings of Dickens are mixed-media works, building layer upon layer of photographic transfers, hand-made paper, gold leaf, fabric, resin and paint. For each painting, drivers and motorsport personalities were asked to express in their own words what made their chosen World Champion special, and why that champion is a legend. The quotes were incorporated by Mark into the painting, to provide a fascinating insight into what each driver means to those who knew them or were inspired by them. Sebastian Vettel purchased all 32 original paintings for his own collection and very limited edition box sets and individual prints were produced from the original paintings. This particular edition is devoted to James Hunt with images and quotes about the 1976 world champion from various F1 personnel and drivers. The print is produced on Somerset velvet paper 330gsm and has been signed by Official F1 Artist Mark Dickens and F1 photographer Keith Sutton and stamped “World Champions in Art” (Dimensions measure 50cm x 50cm). A real collectors piece of art that is extremely rare and very desirable.
