Fernando Alonso – 2005 world champion artist signed limited edition print

At just 24 years old, Fernando Alonso made history to become the youngest ever Formula One world champion, also the first champion from Spain. Fernando is depicted here winning the San Marino Grand Prix on 24th April 2005. In this print Alonso’s Renault R25 is shown holding off the charging Ferrari of Michael Schumacher out of the final chicane to score an impressive victory over the old master at Ferrari’s home circuit. This ‘head to head’ race symbolized a changing of the guard, five years of Schumacher and Ferrari domination were finally at an end. The limited edition run of just 500 prints are long since sold out and this particular print is a rare artist proof (only 50 printed of which we have the last few) which has been signed and numbered by the artist Andrew Kitson. The overall print size is 60 x 44cm, the image size 52 x 34cm.
