Belgian 1998 GP race programme signed by Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine

An original race programme which is in excellent condition from the 1998 Belgian GP held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The front cover of the programme has been signed in black marker by the Ferrari driver pairing of Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. It was a rain soaked Sunday and this was to cause some memorable moments from the race. The start of the Grand Prix was marred by David Coulthard losing control of his Mclaren and a thirteen car pile up ensued resulting in the race being stopped to clean up the track. After the race restart Coulthard was later to be involved in another collision whilst slowing down and trying to let race leader Michael Schumacher past which resulted in the German driver hitting the rear of Coulthard in bad visibility and retiring from the race. However once the Mclaren and Ferrari had both limped back to the pits, Schumacher got out of his car and stormed down to the Mclaren garage to confront Coulthard accusing him of dangerous driving. The race was eventually won by Damon Hill which gave the Jordan GP team their first race victory and it was to be Hill’s last career victory and podium finish.
