1955 German GP poster – rare vintage poster

An original poster for the 1955 German GP. The race itself was cancelled due to the disaster at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 11 June which killed Pierre Levegh and over 80 spectators. As well as the German GP, the French, German, Spanish and Swiss Grands Prix were also cancelled. The Mercedes team dominated the 1955 season with Juan Manual Fangio taking his second consecutive drivers championship. Also 1955 would be the final season for Mercedes Benz as a constructor until the team’s revival in 2010. The poster itself is in excellent folded condition with one small hole in the centre and measures 85cm x 56cm.
